Pemba
Pemba is a small port city in Mozambique, and is the capital of the province Cabo Delgado. It is situated on a peninsula in Pemba Bay.
Although Pemba has a run-down feel to it, with its pot-holed roads, it has all the amenities that a town has to offer, from banks, supermarkets and restaurants to patisseries. The town is built over rolling hills, and most of the inhabitants live amongst the many Baobab trees. The history of this town is centered around sailing and trading through centuries of African, Arab and Portuguese traditions.
Pemba is a perfect destination for water sport and diving enthusiasts, with a coral reef which lies close to the shore. This area has a great tropical climate with quite a bit of humidity as well.
