The owners of Head over Hills have a long history in South Africa, considering they are both originally from Sweden. Martin used to be a professional golfer and played several years on the Sunshine Tour. The combination of Martin’s entrepreneurship and Therese’s degrees in both finances and tourism led them to create a place with a welcoming atmosphere that guests could call their ‘home away from home’.
Knysna is a dream destination for golfers of all skill levels. Numerous courses are situated a short drive from Head over Hills: Pezula Championship Golf Course, the Jack Nicklaus-designed Simola and the local Knysna Golf Club. The Goose Valley and Pinnacle Point Golf Clubs, as well as the world-renowned Fancourt Links, are all located no more than an hour and a half’s drive away.
