Vergenoegd Löw The Wine Estate is one of the oldest working farms in South Africa, with land rights granted in 1696. The graceful Cape Dutch homestead dates to 1773 and is celebrated as a National Monument to this day. We are proud of our heritage and never stop in our search for new and exciting ways to celebrate it. Vergenoegd Löw The Wine Estate offers a variety of options for a small intimate celebration or a lavish reception for up to 120 guests.

CELEBRATION VENUE

The newly build celebration venue stands a short distance from the main dwellings and offers beautiful views of the lake and historic homestead. It has a separate entrance to the Estate and dedicated guest parking, offering added privacy and exclusivity for your special day.

The venue comes complete with a permanent kitchen, bar area, and toilet facilities.

120 GUESTS (EXCLUDING DANCE FLOOR) / 80 GUESTS (INCLUDING DANCE FLOOR)

DANCE FLOOR: IF THE GUEST NUMBER EXCEEDS 80, A DANCE FLOOR CAN BE PLACED ON THE LAWN IN FRONT OF THE VENUE. WEATHER PERMITTING, A TENT MIGHT HAVE TO BE BOOKED IN ADDITION TO COVER THE DANCE FLOOR.

PRE-DRINKS ARE SERVED ON THE LAWN IN FRONT OF THE VENUE.

The graceful Cape Dutch homestead dates to 1773 and is celebrated as a National Monument to this day. With an eclectic mix of heritage pieces and modern cosy lounge furniture, the Homestead is the ideal venue for a formal cocktail reception or a more laid-back, relaxed affair.

The venue includes the hearth room, two large reception rooms (one with an open log burning fireplace), two smaller private dining areas, and a large formal dining room.
