Fair Fuel Policy:

The car rental company will have the car filled with fuel for you and you have to return the car with a full tank. The car rental company will charge you for every missing quarter of a tank and a refueling fee might apply. A fuel deposit might be required, which will be refunded at the end of the rental if the car is returned with a full tank of fuel.

Mileage Information:

Renter is limited to 150 kilometer radius from host's site.

A charge of 2.30 - 6.70 ZAR per kilometer (depending on car group) will apply after 60kms per day.

Insurance information:

Customers are required to report any incidents to the rental station within 3 hours of occurrence, and to notify the police within 24 hours of occurrence.

Cancellation Policy

1. Free of Charge for Cancellations made online via Africabooking 3 days before the rental start date.
2. Cancellations less than 48 hours incur a non-refundable maximum amount of 50 Euro* (or equivalent currency). *Due to the currency exchange rate used by your bank this amount may be slightly higher or lower.
3. No Refund is made for a No Show or failure to produce the correct documentation, driver's licence, passport/ ID card, credit card etc.

A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental.

Driver requirements:

▪️Minimum age of driver is 25 years and maximum age of driver is 75 years - Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price.

▪️Driver must hold a full, valid licence for at least 1 year with no major endorsements

▪️National driver’s licenses are accepted under the conditions that:

- Valid driver's license issued in the same country as their passport.

- The license has a photo or ID/passport number on it and

- The license has a signature on it.

▪️In the event that a photo is not present, an ID document or passport with a photo is required for the identification of the customer.

▪️In the event that, the photo is not present, an ID document or passport with a photo is required for identification.

▪️If the license is in another language, an international driver's license should accompany the foreign driver's license. A translated version of the license stamped by the embassy can be accepted when accompanied by the license.

▪️No driving permits or certified copies of the original driver's license will be accepted. All documents must be original

▪️Foreign travelers have to present  a driving license which has been issued in the same country as the passport.

▪️International renters must produce a flight boarding pass/e-ticket printout (within one week of rental check out).

▪️You are not allowed to ferry the car 

Other charges:

Usually, upon collection, the car rental provider will hold an amount on your credit card, to cover the excess (if applicable) and any missing fuel, until the car and fuel tank are returned in the same condition.

PICK UP AND RETURN TIMES:

VEHICLES ARE RESERVED OUT BASED ON RESERVATION PICK UP AND RETURN TIMES. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU SHOW UP LATER THAN THE RESERVED PICKUP TIME, YOU MAY STILL BE REQUIRED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE FOR THE ORIGINAL RETURN TIME.​

* IF THE KEYS ARE PUT INTO THE KEY BOX AT THE RENTAL SITE AND THE RENTAL VEHICLE IS LEFT IN THE PARKING, THE RENTER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VEHICLE UNTIL A CCR AGENT HAS INSPECTED THE VEHICLE DURING OUR BUSINESS HOURS.

Cash or debit card payments are rarely accepted.

The renter is responsible for parking and traffic fines, towing costs and toll fines. Any dissatisfaction with the rental car must be reported immediately to the local provider.

Authorized driver

Main driver: The person named on the voucher (main driver) has to sign the car rental contract at the time of pick up.

Additional driver: Details are not required at the time of booking. It is advisable to book this option online to take advantage of our online price.

If the person specified on the voucher as the “main driver” is not stated on the local hire contract/ agreement, then refundable service of "Theft & Damage Excess Protection" or "Wheels, Tires, Undercarriage and Glass Coverage", if are opted online during the booking procedure, become invalid.

Any local/ government tax changes will be reflected in the amount to pay locally.
