This is a Safari Lodge near Victoria Falls celebrates the comfort and connection we have in observing nature. Carefully curated to establish a sense of peace and place, this bespoke camp is a homage to the joy of life under canvas in Africa. Whether it’s tinkling G ’n T glasses at sunset, or a mug of freshly brewed coffee around our early morning campfire, experience the wonder of life in a pioneering camp that is organic, modern and elegant. Enjoy the rich tapestry of a day on safari.
Wake to the calls of the resident Pel’s Fishing Owl and the soundtrack of the crickets. Fall asleep to the calls of hyena and lions. We placed the luxury tented camp on a site chosen for its magnificent forest canopy and enormous termite mound resting gently alongside the lounge. The golden green light pours through the trees and forest vines in the early morning and late afternoon. The fire pit deck is suspended over the Zambezi river and afternoons can be spent watching the reflection of the sunset over the Zambezi National Park as animals come down to drink.
The Zambezi channel is a surreal place, gently set apart from the busy world. The island is fringed by a beautiful forest, while a soft sand path leads inward to a cluster of century old baobabs. This is our safari island Tsowa. A pioneer inspired camp placed on the river, steeped in luxury and considered space.
For I have travelled the world looking for a place with a soul. In a world that is becoming increasingly disconnected we crave connection. The Zambezi River ties us as a mother to an umbilical curiosity. Tsowa, the satisfaction of nature falling into Under canvas

Water is life. After a morning of game viewing return to our island oasis. Two pools stand before the mighty Zambezi speaking to her on the optimism of nature. Unwind, relax you don’t need to go anywhere. You might want to tear yourself away to do an afternoon of game viewing or sundowners on the river, but that’s the only decision you need to make.
We do things differently here at Tsowa Safari Island. We want to create a tangible connection between our guests and chefs, so some of our meals are cooked in our open kitchen in our dining room. A warm space, Zimbabwean hospitality feels .
The safari tented camp comprises a stylish lounge and dining area for 16 guests. The bar tent is adjacent to this main living area. The vast outside deck makes the most of its river-front setting, and is also in the cool forest. It has an open-air dining area flowing onto a sunken fire-pit which overlooks the river. The main lodge is linked to the pool which is in a sunny spot, from which you may enjoy your favourite cold drink while watching the river glide by.
Enjoy delicious meals on the dining deck under the shade of ancient trees.
Relax in stylish comfort under the shade of a bedouin type stretch tent while sitting in the lounge soaking up the sounds of silence.
2 swimming pools flowing into each other are the perfect place to cool down with your favourite drink whilst enjoying the warmth of Zimbabwe.
