Our 4 day tour allows you to spend time in both our custom designed truck (height advantage) and in an open 4x4 safari vehicle specifically designed for Kruger game viewing.
Departing from Johannesburg, take a walk on the wild side and join us on our Kruger Big 5 National Park African safari, a popular choice for a true South African safari. On this 4 day tour you get to experience the best of both worlds by spending some time in our custom designed truck (excellent photo opportunities from a high vantage point) and the rest of the time in an open 4×4 safari vehicle specifically designed for the untarred roads of the Kruger National Park. You guides will drive the various roads that link the Kruger National Park, in search of the wildlife that roam free.
Sightings are never guaranteed but the more area covered, the better our chances of catching a glimpse of the ever elusive spotted cats, so keep your eyes open on the ground and up in the marula trees. Experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the big 5 as well as zebras, giraffe and rhinos and be inspired by an authentically African atmosphere in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Kruger National Park is larger than some small countries in Europe and is just less than two million hectares of conservation area.
There will be early morning nature walks and, evening game drives that will allow you to experience the bush before sunrise and after sunset, when the nocturnal animals are at their busiest.
Before returning back to Johannesburg, we will visit the scenic Panorama Route and take time to view Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels – all part of the World Heritage Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world. As you follow the winding path, you have to stop and stare in wonder at the astonishing panoramic views below, as the sheer edges of the cliff drop down 800m into the river below.

2. This tour can be linked with a number of our other routes, including a visit to Moremi, Savuti and Chobe National Parks and even an extension with Zimbabwe. 4. Some roads you travel on will be smooth and easy while others could take up to an hour to cover 1 kilometre. There is just no telling what could happen with road, weather, traffic and other conditions that may exist that will either increase or decrease the amount of time you spend on the road so take your watch off, put your iPad away, turn off your phone and just relax. An average day could take anything from 5 to 14 hours, it all depends on the day… and that’s only an “average”!

Leaving the city of Johannesburg behind us we make our way east through the coalfields of Mpumalanga. Our journey today follows in the footsteps of the old trade-routes to the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park. We set up camp at our base for the next three nights and enjoy a lovely sundowner drive.

Rising early this morning we enter the Kruger National Park to enjoy a full-day of game viewing. The abundance of wildlife presents us with opportunities for excellent sightings, while the Kruger is also home to the famed members of Africa’s Big-5. The game drive offers the excitement of experiencing the park from an open-sided 4×4 vehicle.
