Kruger National Park Safari Dream+Panorama Route (5 days/4 nights - midrange)

TRANSFER TO HOEDSPRUIT You will be picked up at your accommodation at 6.15 am and transferred to OR Tambo International Airport. Will meet at the bus terminal at 6.45 am  we depart at 7.00 am with a shuttle bus. You can catch the shuttle bus at the bus terminal which is located behind the intercontinental hotel. When you leave the arrival terminal, you will cross the road and follow the pathway the runs next to the intercontinental hotel. There are signs that say bus terminal.

Around 13.30 pm you arrive at Hoedpsruit . Check in at your accommodation. At 18.00pm you will be picked up for your night game drive till around 21.30 pm and will be brought back to your lodge for dinner.

The only way to see animals of the night, night drives depart at 15:00  and last for around 2/3 hours. Experienced guides drive the groups to spy on Kruger's nocturnal creatures and their secretive activities. On night drives, at Greater Kruger  Game ranger drives you around and provides very interesting commentary about the vegetation and animals that you come across. You can ask the ranger any questions that you may have too. The ranger will also give spotlights to passengers in the vehicle. They use them to scan the bush for animal eyes reflecting in the light.

You will be staying in a Mid-range lodge at the wildlife estate. Is the spot for a unique, unforgettable spot in ‘real Africa’. The Lodge is surrounded by enchanting nature, African wildlife and it’s far away from all the stress and hustle bustle of life. This Bush Lodge is a vacation home located in the 24 hour secured Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, adjacent to the wildlife rest area. In this quiet secluded environment you can enjoy passing giraffes, zebras, kudus and much more African wildlife from your own suite. In the ‘green belt’ you can spot all wildlife while on foot, on horseback, by bicycle or by car. When you exit the entrance gate you will arrive in the cozy town of Hoedspruit. WILDLIFE ESTATE means a self sustainable nature based low density rural residential development which may form part or include a country estate, private nature reserve or game farm. The residential component of a wildlife estate is usually clustered to ensure minimum impact on the natural environment.

FULL DAY SAFARI (GAME DRIVE) A whole day in the Kruger National Park Depending on the time of year, you will be picked up at your hotel or lodge between 05h00 and 06h00 by your guide in an open safari vehicle and transported to the Kruger National Park. The safari lasts around 10 hours and will include a 45-minute stop for breakfast( at the edge you will receive a breakfast package) and an hour stop for lunch. At these stops you will be able to purchase meals at very reasonable prices. Your guide will also make regular comfort stops along the way. This safari is conducted in an open safari vehicle designed to maximise wildlife viewing and offering excellent photographic opportunities. The vehicles are equipped with blankets to keep you warm during the winter when early mornings and late afternoons can get chilly. During the hot summer months, we have waterproof ponchos to keep you dry in the event of us being caught in a sub-tropical rain storm. This is a shared game drive with Maximum 6 guests per vehicle. If you prefer a guaranteed private safari, with just you and your family & friends on the safari vehicle, then please request the private option.

You will be picked up for a day trip to the scenic Panorama route. The Mpumalanga Panorama Route is the focus of the day. Here visits are made to the Blyde River Gorge, dominated by the triplet peaks of the Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck, where the unique geological features of the potholes are admired. God's Window is then reached, a cleft in the edge of the escarpment from where magnificent views of the Lowveld can be enjoyed. God's Window is situated in a patch of indigenous forest, where many flowering and aromatic plants flourish. A visit is also made to the historic mining village of Pilgrim's Rest. It is one of the most perfect examples of a mining town born during the excitement of an alluvial gold rush. Gold was discovered here in 1873.

The morning safari experience is spotting the Big Five and this tour takes you to a location where all of the Big Five can be found in greater Kruger. Set off by foot with your guide on a morning bush walk one of the best times of the day for animal sightings. As well as looking out for wildlife, the guide teaches you about wildlife. You will be picked up at your accommodation at 6.15 am for a bush walk greater Kruger . 

You will be picked up and transferred with a scheduled shuttle from Hoedspruit around 13.30 pm - arrival at OR Tambo Airport around 19pm.
