Explore Knysna
When looking to explore Knysna, guests are absolutely spoilt for choice! Animal lovers will want to pay a visit to the Knysna Elephant Park or Birds of Eden in nearby Plettenberg Bay. To take in the area’s scenic beauty, opt for a Brenton-on-Sea beach walk, Garden of Eden short walk or go on a Knysna Scootour. There’s still so much more to do and see along the beautiful Garden Route. Our owners will be happy to make suggestions for various other activities in and around Knysna.

Biking, hiking and trail running is a great way to explore the area. Keen cyclists looking for a challenge will enjoy exploring the hills surrounding our boutique hotel. For a more casual experience, bike towards Knysna for magnificent views of the Heads, ocean and lagoon along the way. Our forests feature various beautiful mountain biking routes as well.

Boat Sailing & Cruise
Water lovers can look forward to sunset cruises across the sweeping lagoon and out through the iconic Heads. Be sure to get in touch with Springtide Charters for access to a sleek 50 ft. monohull yacht. Going for a swim at Coney Glen Beach – approximately 800 m from Head over Hills – is a must! Brenton-on-Sea, Plettenberg Bay and Buffels Bay are all situated nearby too and have lifeguards in season.
Dining Experience
At Head over Hills, you can enjoy lunch (on request) and dinner at the hotel. Enjoy a gourmet meal without missing out on our premium views and stunning sunsets.

Head over Hills is a proud corporate member at the world-renowned Pezula Championship Golf Course. We offer our guests golfing specials when staying at least 2 nights with us.
Head over Hills also advocates for Adventure triathlon Racing activities. In May 2016, teams of 4 from all around the world travelled to the Garden route in the Western Cape in South Africa. Their activities included kayaking, mountain biking, trecking, canyoning and complete rope work sections in this epic adventure.
