This is by far one of the finest experiences you can imagine when going on vacations. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the people couldn't be any nicer. My wife and I were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and happened to get the best butler ever, Maria. She exceeded every single expectation we have, always anticipating our needs. She organized a surprise dinner for my wife, had the staff sing us happy anniversary on another night and also a private lunch right on the beach with the table set inside a huge heart drawn on the sand. Our suite with the outdoor shower and plunge pool was fantastic. The SCUBA diving facilities right on the premises was an added bonus as the waters right in front of the resort are full of marine life. Big hello also to Antonio at the reception who was very accommodating with our travel schedule and departure time.

The lake system is a world heritage site and as you cruise from one to the other you can spot flamingos, hippos and crocodiles. We swam in the deeper sections using the snorkelling equipment provided and also went in at the end of the lake section near the flamingos. An interesting and worthwhile relaxing half day on the water

we found this place by chance and it was great, they have great campsite, great facilities and super friendly owner, Ken was great fun and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, met tons of people and had great fun, really enjoyed the honesty bar system, if you are looking for a great place to stay and like to meet people, go fishing with the natives in the fish pens ( ask pilani he works at the lodge)or go at the beach ( 2 kms walk) , we did lots of 4x4 in the sandy trails close to the lodge, went for a day visit at Tembe Park and you are only 1 km away from the Mozambique border. Ken has chalets and tents to rent as well but we preferred the camping as we met so many other travellers it was really fun. the staff are all really nice, if you are looking for a relaxing and quaint place to unwind then this is the place, if you are looking for a full service hotel go somewhere else.

Point de big five, point de "Bush", mais une autre Afrique du Sud!!! Le Lodge est superbe, la cuisine est excellente et le personnel est formidable. Seul bémol, il faut y aller... mais cela en vaut vraiment le coup!!! Tout est parfait, ne changez rien!!!

Beautiful island ,friendly people and getting there and back on the ferry is an adventure .lovely beaches and good restaurants .
