Barra Dica - Chalet 1

Barra Dica, meaning the "TIP of Barra", is located right on the tip of the Barra peninsula, found on Barra beach.
Barra Dica offers accommodation in the form of 17x self-catering chalets, located on the estuary's edge, boasting awesome golden fiery sunsets.

With views of glorious sunsets, the chalets can accommodate a maximum of 6 people in 2 bedrooms.  Each chalet has a bathroom, kitchen and lounge with 2 days beds for the extra 2 guests.  There is a small verandah, braai facilities and the chalets are serviced daily.  10 of the chalets are front row, on the water’s edge and a further 7 chalets are in the 2nd row.

Another accommodation offering is the much-adored Palapa Campsites, each with its own private ablution and washing-up area, creating the "home away from home" comfort feeling.

Ideally positioned with the estuary in front and the ocean behind, there is a host of activities for guests to partake in, including kayaking and snorkelling in the bay, quad bike tours, deep sea fishing, boat trips to Pansy Island, Seahorse Safaris etc.

A wide variety of activities, in and around are on offer, to match the adventurous, as well as the quieter spirits.

Our chalets are log cabins, built in traditional Mozambican Casita style and with the exception of towels, are fully equipped with the necessary equipment.  All chalets face the estuary.

Each Chalet at the resort has:

✔2 Bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds)

✔Shower and toilet

✔Open plan kitchen & living area which can accommodate another 2 children on single beds

✔Outside semi-enclosed patio

✔Braai in front of chalet

✔Electricity is supplied 24 hours by EDM, occasional outages may occur during peak season.

✔Each Chalet is serviced once a day, except Sundays and Public Holidays.

✔Wheelchair friendly unit available.
