Camp Mad Marlin is situated on the north-west coastline of Inhaca Island in Mozambique, looking over the pristine Portuguese island and a mere one hour ferry transfer from Maputo harbour.

We invite you to come and enjoy the island and all of it’s traditions and scenery, crystal clear blue waters and breathtakingly spectacular beach.

Camp Mad Marlin offers value accommodation for the whole family - young and old - or the corporations that need time to forget their busy lifestyle.

Camp Mad Marlin has 8 self-catering cabins which includes four (4) log cabins that sleeps four (4) en-suite and air-conditioning, fridge and coffee bar and four (4) cabins which sleep two (2) which each have ablution facilities with both hot and cold water.

Our lodge offers a fully stocked communal kitchen, as well as a fridge and freezers for the storage of all of your groceries needing to be preserved.

Additional facilities include, but are not limited to, a swimming pool, DSTV, Wi-Fi and Braai facilities.

Directions to inhaca

Camp Mad Marlin is 1.3km from the centre of Inhaca Island , the nearest airport 40km (Maputo International Airport).

From Pretoria take the N4 towards Nelspruit. A short 450 km drive to Lebombo border post. 89km straight on the EN4 to Maputo. Take the ferry to Inhaca island or fly from Maputo airport.

Boat charters are available for the clients own cost, as well as the KaNyaka Ferry which travels from the Katembe Pier to the island every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.  There is a runway on Inhaca Island for those guests who would like to charter their own flight.  A transport fee will be charged to collect and deliver guests to and from the airport.

Boat owners can launch their boat at Escola Nautica Maputo or Club Naval and cross the 34 km bay to Inhaca island, enjoy the calm, warm water and abundance of ocean life, landing that big one. Club Naval and Escola Nautica have car parking with 24hr security at a daily rate

Health on Inhaca Island

Anti-malaria precautions should be commenced prior to departure and guests should bring their personal insect repellent, as this is not provided. Clients should consult their doctor for specific advice.
